Seaba: Rosario, Gilas cadets rip Malaysia

Gilas cadets flexed its muscle, ripping Malaysia, 108-84, in the 2016 Seaba Stankovic Cup at Stadium 29 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Troy Rosario ignited the blowout, dropping 12 of his 19 points in the first half, that went with eight rebounds to get the Philippines off to a good start.

Mac Belo added 16 points, three rebounds, and two steals, while Mike Tolomia had 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists as the two Tamaraws teamed up in the third quarter breakaway.

Kevin Ferrer scored 12 points off the bench, while Jiovani Jalalon posted all-around numbers with 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Raymar Jose asserted his size with a near double-double, scoring nine points and grabbing 15 boards. The Nationals out-rebounded Malaysia, 57-40.

The Philippines will take a one day break before returning to action on Tuesday against Singapore.

Yi Hou Wong paced the Malaysians with 22 points and four rebounds.
