SEABA Cup: Jalalon takes charge as Gilas Cadets down Singapore

Jiovani Jalalon took over in the fourth quarter as Gilas cadets blasted Singapore late, 81-59, for their second victory in the 2016 SEABA Stankovic Cup Tuesday at Stadium 29 in Bangkok, Thailand.

With Singapore creeping back and pulling within nine, 59-50, Jalalon scored six straight points to ignite a game-clinching 22-9 tear.

The Arellano playmaker topped the Philippines with 17 points, on an 8-of-12 shooting, along with four rebounds.

FEATURED STORIES

Almond Vosotros also bounced back from a woeful first game with 14 markers, while Mike Tolomia got 12 points, four boards, and four dimes in the win.

Gilas cadets will face Indonesia next on Wednesday.

Delvin Goh had 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists in Singapore’s first defeat of the tourney.
