No. 1 pick Galang happy to join forces with La Salle pals
There couldn’t be a better script for Ara Galang than landing at F2 Logistics as she starts her career in Philippine Superliga.
The former La Salle star was picked no. 1 in the 2016 PSL Draft on Friday.

What adds to Galang’s delight is her reunion of sorts with former La Salle teammates in the Cargo Movers’ roster, as coach Ramil de Jesus welcomes her with open arms.
“This season, may isa lang akong gustong masalihan which is F2, and buti na lang, ako ang kinuha nila. Open naman ako kahit saan, pero syempre, ito yung team na gusto ko,” she said.

The 21-year-old open hitter also said that the familiar core could give her a bit of a breather, as she tries to heal from her bone bruise on her right knee before the All-Filipino Conference begins on June 18.
“Nararamdaman ko pa rin yung pain, pero yun ang kailangan ko i-overcome. Kailangan mind over matter,” she said. “Kailangan ko lang mag-rest. Di naman sya ganung kalala. May time pa naman para mag-catch up ako sa conditioning and strengthening.”
Galang, though, looks at the minor setback as a motivation to make her mark in the semi-pro league.
“Pwede ko syang gawing challenge for me,” she said. “Kung may mga taong di nagtitiwala sa akin, basta ako magtitiwala ako sa sarili ko. Iwo-work on ko lang yung kulang ko.”
