One of the most memorable plays during Gilas Pilipinas’ campaign in the 2015 Jones Cup was Terrence Romeo putting his Chinese Taipei defender on skates before hitting a contested lefty layup.
That spellbinding move also got Jordan Clarkson out of his seat, prompting a priceless reaction from the Los Angeles Lakers guard, who gestured like he was stirring a pot a la James Harden after what Romeo just cooked up.
During his availability with the media, it was evident that Romeo left a lasting impression on Clarkson, who immediately remembered the GlobalPort star and mentioned his name first as he talked to reporters.

And when was asked about Romeo, Clarkson only had good things to say.
“He’s a good guard, can put it on the ground, get to the basket, can shoot a little bit, not a little, he can really score the ball,” Clarkson said, correcting himself. “So he’s an exciting player to watch.”
The 23-year-old Clarkson arrived in Manila on Friday for a promotional event with Nike.
He joined Gilas in practice on Saturday and is set to leave the country Monday.
