Cha Cruz is excited about the imminent La Salle reunion at F2 Logistics in the upcoming 2016 Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference.

With the addition of Ara Galang in the Cargo Movers roster after being selected first in the 2016 PSL Draft on Friday, she’s just glad to have her old teammates back together in one squad.

“Syempre, I’m really happy. Ang tagal ko na sya nakalaro, pero ngayon na kaka-graduate lang nilang lahat, it’s really nice na lahat sila magiging teammates ko ulit,” said Cruz.

Galang joins fellow Lady Spikers Kim Dy, Majoy Baron, Kim Fajardo, Cyd Demecillo, Dawn Macandili, all direct hires, in F2 Logistics under coach Ramil de Jesus.

It’s been a long time since Cruz played side-by-side with Galang, and the former knows since then the latter has gained tremendous experience which could be vital for her career in PSL.

“Ang dami na nyang experience sa UAAP. Alam ko yung mga experience na yun will go a long way sa professional league,” said Cruz. “Mga veterans na yung mga makakalaban namin and alam ko na alam nya kung paano din maglaro yung iba. She has a big edge para sa team and it’s really a big help.”

Despite the new pieces, Cruz believes that their rise will still depend on their chemistry and conditioning, a tried and tested formula that has netted de Jesus a number of championships in the collegiate level.

“Under the system of coach Ramil, I think it will be easy for us to get that chemistry back again. What we need to do is to be in good condition para ma-execute namin yung mga gustong ipagawa ni coach. Since magkakasama na naman kami, we know yung ugali ng bawat isa on and off the court,” he said.
