FEU levels record, beats CSB in Filoil
Far Eastern University hit the .500 mark in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup after beating College of St. Benilde, 64-55, Sunday at San Juan Arena.
After starting the tournament on the losing end, the Tamaraws now have a 3-3 slate while the Blazers slipped to 1-5.
Article continues after this advertisementCSB held a 43-40 lead in the latter part of the fourth but the Tamaraws went on a 22-9 stampede to keep their distance.
Tamaraws assistant head coach Eric Gonzales said his team is finding a new identity, with established stars Mike Tolomia, Mac Belo, and Roger Pogoy having exhausted all their playing years.
That identity now is seen on defense and a widespread offense.

FEU did just what its assistant coach wanted as four Tamaraws carried their offense.
Prince Orizu put up a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double while Richard Escoto had 12 points and six boards.
Wendell Comboy and Allen Trinidad pitched in nine points apiece.
Christian Fajarito, Fons Saavedra, and Clement Leutcheu had 10 points each for CSB.
