IN-FORM Clyde Mondilla shoots to win three-in-a-row when the Philippine Golf Tour’s ICTSI Eagle Ridge Invitational tees off Tuesday at the complex’ Aoki layout in Gen. Trias in Cavite.
Only one player in PGT history was able to pull off such a feat and the long-hitting 23-year-old Mondilla hopes to duplicate what Antonio Lascuña did in 2014 when he won the Bacolod, Riviera and Manila Southwoods stops.
Mondilla has unrivaled work ethic and, despite winning at Calatagan eight days ago, worked on various parts of his game to prepare for this event.
“I want to improve more and win again so I practiced a lot during the break,” said Mondilla, who has piled up four victories in a young pro career.
Jobim Carlos, the rookie pro who Mondilla defeated in sudden death in the Manila Masters at Eastridge, is back after skipping the Calatagan stop, with the veteran Frankie Miñoza also seeing action. Musong R. Castillo
