LOOK: Kobe Paras dons graduation gown
Filipino cager Kobe Paras traded his basketball jersey for a nifty graduation gown as he graduated from high school last Sunday.
A Facebook photo from Paras’ varsity team, The Phantoms, showed the 18-year-old basketball prodigy among the graduates of Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, California.

The 6-foot-6 phenom who is headed for University of California, Los Angeles, meanwhile, decided to celebrate his achievement in an unconventional fashion—by “dabbing” all over the place a la North Carolina Panther quarterback, Cam Newton.

The video was taken by his older brother, former UP Fighting Maroon forward Andre Paras.
Article continues after this advertisementKobe’s father, PBA legend Benjie Paras, also made the trip, alongside the lad’s adoptive mother, Lyxen Diomampo-Paras.
The younger Paras is considered by many as the future of Philippine basketball due to his athletic frame and immense potential.
He first gained notoriety by participating in the 2013 and 2015 FIBA 3×3 Under-18 World Championships, while also winning the event’s slam dunk championship both times.
