ARVIN Chan mocked Chris Hofmann despite the Filipino-Swiss’ knockout victory in a previous title match.

The slugger Hofmann obviously didn’t like the ridicule and intends to prove Chan wrong when they clash in the main event of the URCC Fight Night on June 25 at Palace Pool Club.

“I’m confident with the things that I can do,” said Hofmann during yesterday’s press conference at Cafe Naya at the Palace at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. “But there should be no room for error when I fight him.”

Hofmann used his impressive striking skills to knock out the veteran Caloy Baduria in the second round of their title fight in “URCC 27: Rebellion” two months ago and snatch the vacant light heavyweight title.

Hofmann (3-1) won his last three fights, all of them by knockout, and is the heavy favorite to prevail over Chan, the striker from Team Vallega Camp, who has lost all his four fights.

Chan lost by submission twice in the first round and got floored, also twice, in the first.

Two striking specialists are also set to mix it up with MJ Abrillo of Yaw-Yan Kampilan challenging former pinweight contender Eddie Estrada, who is hungry for a win to gain another shot at the URCC championship.

URCC Fight Night features five other bouts with featherweight Jued Castillo clashing with Von Darbon Prado and Jhong Hurtado battling John Gonzalez in a flyweight encounter.
