Thompson eager to get back to action as Ginebra resumes practice

After missing the semifinals in his first two conferences in the PBA, Scottie Thompson admits that he’s been raring to go back to the court.

And as Ginebra wrapped up its second day of practice, the rookie is already looking forward to go back in action.

“Gigil na gigil,” he said after Friday’s practice. “Kailangan lang namin magpa-kundisyon. Gusto ko, pagdating ng July, kundisyon na lahat.”

Thompson’s draws motivation from the Gin Kings failure to make it to the final four  and is hoping they can change their fate in the upcoming season-ending Governors’ Cup.

“Sana mabigyan kami ng pagkakataon makapasok sa semis pa Finals kasi miss ko na maglaro sa ganung level,” he said.

Though Thompson isn’t expecting much, his responsibility is bound to get a bigger with veteran playmaker LA Tenorio lending his hand for national team duty.

And neophyte is prepared for whatever Tim Cone throws his way.

“Basta ako, lagi lang akong ready.”
