San Beda upended Ateneo, 82-73, ending its campaign in the elimination round of the Filoil Flying V Premier Cup on a high note Sunday at San Juan Arena.

The Red Lions head in to the quarterfinal stages with a 6-1 slate while the Blue Eagles will move on to the playoffs with a 4-3 card.

San Beda head coach Jamike Jarin wasn’t all too pleased with his team’s ball movement despite the 20 assists they dished out.

“May pagka perfectionist kasi ako and I saw that we played selfish today,” said Jarin. “We had opportunities to give up the extra pass controlling the tempo of the game but we failed to do so.”

“It’s still a process and we backslid today. We should be mature enough to bounce back from our mistakes.”

Donald Tankoua led the Red Lions with 20 points and 13 rebounds while AC Soberano and JV Mocon had 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Thirdy Ravena had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead Ateneo.
