Fans of Alyssa Valdez will have to wait a little bit longer before they can watch their idol back on the volleyball court.

Bali Pure playing-coach Charo Soriano bared the three-time UAAP MVP will still sit out the Purest Water Defenders’ game against Iriga on Wednesday.

“We advised Alyssa not to play yet on Wednesday. She still needs time to rest and train coming from a long vacation,” she said.

Valdez, alongside Grethcel Soltones, arrived last Thursday from their European volleyball trip.

Soltones played her first game on Monday and she immediately made her impact with 23 points to help Bali Pure snag its first win in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Open Conference after a five-set victory over NU.

“When Grethcel came back from London last Thursday, she had to be looked at by our physical therapist. Then she did weight training on Friday, and then attended training over the weekend,” Soriano shared.

“We would want Alyssa to undergo the same process.”
