IEM wrecks Sta. Elena, closes in on Spikers’ Turf semis

Instituto Estetico Manila wrapped up Sta. Elena in four sets, 18-25, 25-23, 25-17, 29-27, to inch closer to a semifinal spot in the Spikers’ Turf Open Conference Wednesday at San Juan Arena.

Greg Dolor was the high-point man for the Phoenix Volley Masters with 19 points as IEM improved to 2-0 and one win away to ensure a semifinals spot.

Joven Camaganakan led the Wrecking Balls with 17 points as they dropped to 0-2.

IEM barely outmuscled Sta. Elena, tallying 59 points off spikes while the Wrecking Balls had 54.

Jeffrey Jimenez and Eden Canlas also produced for the Phoenix Volley Masters with 14 and 13 points, respectively, while Michael Conde and Jason Canlas each had 10.

Ace Mandani and Peter Torres pitched in 12 points apiece for Sta. Elena.
