KAYA seeks second spot when it clashes with Nomads, while Stallion tries to continue its climb back into the upper half of the table in the United Football League at Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Stalled due to the AFC Cup and the international break, the league returns with Kaya gunning for a third victory in four games in the 1:45 p.m. kickoff, before Stallion battles struggling Laos in the second match at 4 p.m.
Kaya was recently eliminated in the AFC Cup Round of 16 after coach Chris Greatwich’s wards were dealt a 2-7 defeat by defending champion Johor Dairul Ta’zim in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Last year’s UFL Cup champion split its last two matches—losing to Stallion, 0-1, before drubbing Forza, 10-2.
Stallion has lost to powerhouse sides Global and Loyola Meralco before nipping Kaya, 1-0, thanks to an early strike from Balot Doctora.
Laos went unbeaten as it ruled the second division last season, but the club has yet to make its mark in the top-flight so far with losses in its first three matches. Cedelf P. Tupas
