GLOBALPORT has signed up Dominique Sutton as its import in the season-ending Governors’ Cup, tentatively set to open on July 17.
Sutton is among the returnees for the season’s third conference, having played in 2014 for Air21, which reached the quarterfinals.
He averaged impressive numbers of 26 points, 15 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
The Batang Pier, who have arguably the most prolific backcourt tandem in the PBA in Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle, now have a solid lineup with Sutton manning the slot. He is set to arrive in the last week of this month.
GlobalPort, though, has not announced the replacement for coach Pido Jarencio, who was earlier named as the franchise’s head of basketball operations.
