Two-day ‘dribble-drive’ clinic slated

/ 10:58 PM June 15, 2016

FORMER Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings assistant coach Vance Walberg, the architect of the dribble-drive offense, is holding a two-day coaching clinic starting Saturday at Kerry Sports Arena at Shangri-La Fort in Taguig.

Dubbed Mastering the Dribble Drive Motion Offense, the clinic aims to help Filipino coaches and players understand the finer details of the attack which Gilas Pilipinas utilized during the tenure of former coach Chot Reyes.

“It’s a different type of offense, but I think it’s one a lot of people will enjoy because it gives you the ability just to play to what your strengths are,” said Walberg.

Registration for the clinic backed by Phoenix Petroleum and Philippine Airlines is pegged at P5,000, but the on-site signup will cost P6,000. Cedelf P. Tupas
