PH archers fail to qualify for Rio Olympics

The Philippines won’t have any archer in the Rio Olympics.

Top bets Gabriel Moreno, Florante Matan, Rachelle Anne dela Cruz and Kareel Meer Hongitan all failed to earn Olympic spaces during Friday’s final qualification held in Antalya, Turkey.

Of them, Hongitan came closest to the Olympic bus after beating Bulgaria’s Marina Naidenova, 6-0, in the second round and Reena Parat of Estonia, 7-3, in the third.
