#NBAFinals: Cavs vs Warriors Game 7 in memes

The Cleveland Cavaliers cemented their place in the record books as the first team to come back from a 3-1 deficit and win the NBA Finals after beating the Golden State Warriors in a thrilling Game 7.

As for the Warriors, who capped off their historic regular season run with a major collapse, they find themselves all over the internet, making rounds on social media, which is really not a good place to be.

The Warriors set the record for the most regular season wins at 73-9, beating the previous mark held by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, who, unlike the Warriors, went on to win the championship.

Harrison Barnes’ disappearing act also didn’t go unnoticed. The Warriors swingman, who has been vital to his team’s success, couldn’t make a shot despite the wide open looks he got as he went Houdini in the last three games of the Finals where he was needed most.

Ayesha Curry, wife of reigning MVP Steph, didn’t escape trolls. Mrs. Curry posted a “salty” tweet shortly after Steph’s ejection late in Game 6 where she ripped the officiating and accusing the NBA for being “absolutely rigged.” She deleted her tweet but not after thousands of retweets and likes. Ayesha had also apologized, but the Internet is unforgiving.

Let’s face it, the Warriors have been the darlings of basketball the moment they started winning. What’s not to love about this team? There’s Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, who make a lot of threes, and Draymond Green, who talks a lot but does a lot of things too. The more they win (they had a lot), the more people jump into the bandwagon. But the last three games of the NBA Finals have been dreadful for Dub Nation and nothing is more painful for them than seeing the Cavaliers celebrate their first NBA championship on their home floor. There are a lot of real Warriors fans out there, there are also those who went cheering for the Cavs as the final buzzer sounded.

Yep, the crying Michael Jordan meme hasn’t left us and Curry got the treatment after his Warriors failed to stop LeBron James and the Cavaliers in Game 6. James had his second straight 41-point effort to force Game 7 and this captures it all.
