NBA: Spectator hospitalized after post-Finals altercation

OAKLAND, United States — A spectator involved in an altercation with other fans after the conclusion of Sunday’s deciding game of the NBA Finals has been hospitalized after falling over a railing.

A statement from Oracle Arena said a male fan in his early 20s was hurt in the fall and immediately attended to by arena personnel.

Paramedics arrived and took him to a nearby hospital. Police are investigating.

The incident happened in the moments after the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers downed the host Golden State Warriors 93-89 to win the best-of-seven NBA Finals 4-3.
