RC Cola Army maintained its position atop the standings of the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference as it sunk Standard Insurance Navy, 25-23, 25-19, 25-14, Thursday at Cuneta Astrodome.

The Lady Troopers boast of a 3-0 record as they share the no. 1 seed with F2 Logistics and Petron.

Despite the drubbing, Lady Troopers head coach Kung Fu Reyes wanted a better performance from his team who played within reach of the Corvettes in the first set.

“Slow start lang kami pero eventually naging OK na ang lahat, ‘yung adjustment namin na pilit naming kinukuha may nae-execute kami pero hindi namin nakukuha, madami pa rin kaming committed errors na kami mismo ang gumagawa,” said Reyes.

RC Cola Navy had 15 errors while Standard Insurance Navy committed 22, but Reyes still wants the Lady Troopers to trim down their miscues.

Jovelyn Gonzaga led the Lady Troopers with 13 points while Jessey De Leon and Honey Tubino added nine apiece.

Rachel Anne Daquis had eight points for her troubles.

Gonzaga and Daquis were the first two players chosen for the PSL Select Team that would compete in the FIVP World Club Women’s Championship in October.

Pau Soriano had 11 points to lead the 0-2 Corvettes.
