Shrock on target anew as Ceres batters Brunei side
FILIPINO international Stephan Schrock sustained his sparkling form as Ceres-La Salle inched closer to a first semifinal appearance following a 3-0 drubbing of DPMM Brunei on Thursday night in the Singapore Cup in the Lion City’s Jalan Besar Stadium.
Thriving in his free role at the tip of the attack, the former Bundesliga campaigner fired a couple of classy goals after Manny Ott’s opening conversion as the UFL league champs claimed a decisive edge heading into the second leg on Sunday.
But the Busmen will be without Ott for the second leg after the midfielder was sent off for an off-the-ball incident five minutes from time.

With the victory, Ceres extended its winning streak to five, including their first-round win over Garena Young Lions, 3-1, where Schrock also scored twice.
Meanwhile, Global faces an uphill climb as it tries to overturn a 1-3 deficit from the first leg against Tampines Rovers on Saturday night.
