WINNING three games in succession, F2 Logistics hasn’t really shown its full strength yet.

The unbeaten Cargo Movers will undergo a genuine test against the Foton Tornadoes even as Standard Insurance-Navy and Amy’s seek that elusive first victory at the resumption of the 2016 Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference today at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Armed with the nucleus of women’s volleyball UAAP champion La Salle, the Cargo Movers are ahead of the pack together with heavyweights Petron and RC Cola-Army.

But the Tornadoes, preparing for the AVC Asian Women’s Club Championship in Manila two months from now, are capable of removing them from the top.

“After that loss to Petron, our team showed patience and composure. We showed that we’re all eager to bounce back,” said Foton coach Villet Ponce De Leon.

The Tornadoes, tapped to play in the Asian club championship, convincingly defeated Generika and Amy’s with so much energy after a passive opener against Petron.

Star blocker Aby Marano of F2 Logistics has been named to reinforce Foton in the club championship and it would be interesting to witness how Marano will fare against her future teammates.

Joining Marano in the continental meet on Sept. 3 to 11 are Petron’s Jen Reyes and Rachel Anne Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga of RC Cola-Army. The team will be strengthened further with the addition of Americans Lindsay Stalzer and Ariel Usher as the Filipinos take on Asian powers such as Bangkok Glass of Thailand, Hisamitsu Springs of Japan, April 25 of North Korea, Taiwan Power of Chinese Taipei and Bayi Army of China.

“Aby’s now getting familiar with [the] system,” said Ponce-de Leon. “It’s going to be different because we have a different game plan for the PSL and for the AVC.”

The Cargo Movers will lean heavily on the firepower of Ara Galang, Mika Reyes, Cha Cruz and Marano and should watch out for Foton’s Jaja Santiago as well as veterans Rhea Dimaculangan and Maika Ortiz if they want to keep their record clean.
