Kevin Durant’s decision to don a Warrior jersey next season has left a trail of broken hearts, and now he’s experiencing some bitter backlash from his now ex-fans.
Following the one-time NBA MVP’s announcement to the Player’s Tribune that he would team up with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors, frustrated fans took to social media to convey their feelings.
Big Rich, owner of the Pink Parrot bar in Oklahoma City, paid a visit to Durant’s home on Monday (Tuesday in Manila) and stationed a “For Sale” sign with the word ”coward” scrawled across it.

After saving the All-Star the expense of hiring a realtor upon his exit, the bar operator wasn’t done, as he also delivered a passionate speech about how good Oklahoma City has been to Durant over the years, and how he had no heart.
In addition to depositing the forward’s now-former jersey on his doorstep, he bid him a scathing farewell.
“You have no heart of a champion. Goodbye, KD.”
Twitter user @Jay_Pums, meanwhile, wasted no time setting Durant’s jersey up in flames— reminiscent of the time Cleveland fans did the same on LeBron James’ uniform during his departure from the team in 2010.

The four-time league scoring champion will leave the Oklahoma City Thunder after nine fruitful seasons with the team. During his tenure with Thunder, Durant made the NBA All-star selection seven times and was named league MVP in 2014.
Along with Russell Westbrook, Durant led the team to an NBA finals appearance for the fourth time in franchise history and first since 1996, when the club was still based in Seattle. The Thunder, however, lost the series to the LeBron James-lead Miami Heat in five games.
KD will join the 73-win Golden State Warriors squad on a reported two-year $54.3 million contract. Khristian Ibarrola
