Osman hurt himself early in the fourth quarter. The 6-foot-8 swingman needed help from his teammates as he walked towards the bench and did not return.

“I think he’s not good,” Turkey head coach Ergin Ataman admitted to reporters during the post-game press conference. “I think now the doctors will send him to the hospital to get MRI.”

“But what the doctor told me is that he can’t play against Senegal. It’s unlucky for us because he was our best player in this bad game.”

Ataman fears Osman could be out for at least a couple of weeks, effectively ruling him out of the six-day tournament.

“I don’t think it’s a shin. Also, it’s not knee but something in his leg. Maybe with this injury, you can’t play for two, three weeks.”
