Dunn scores 21, shines again for Timberwolves

A look at some of the highlights from Sunday’s schedule in the Las Vegas Summer League:

DUNN SHINES AGAIN

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Kris Dunn, the No. 5 overall pick in last month’s NBA draft, continued to impress with 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists in an 82-80 loss to the Toronto Raptors.

The 6-foot-4 Dunn scored 27 points in a game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

Against the Raptors, Dunn made 9 of 17 shots, but missed all four of his 3-point attempts. Second-year guard Norman Powell scored 29 for Toronto.

COTTON GREAT OFF BENCH

Third-year guard Bryce Cotton scored 21 points in just 16 minutes on the court to lead the Atlanta Hawks past the Washington Wizards, 88-80. Cotton shot 7 of 11, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range.

Kelly Oubre Jr. led the Wizards with 21 points.

MAKER A REBOUND MACHINE

Milwaukee Bucks forward Thon Maker scored 17 points and grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds in a 91-86 loss to the NBA D-League Select. The 7-foot-1 Maker, who was the 10th pick in the draft, was 7 of 15 from the field and blocked two shots.

RICHARDSON BIG FOR KINGS

Malachi Richardson, the 22nd selection of the draft, scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Sacramento’s 85-73 loss to the Houston Rockets.

The 6-foot-6 Richardson was 3 of 4 from 3-point range and added a team-high seven rebounds. Houston was led by 19 points from Sam Dekker.

BOLOMBOY GETS DOUBLE-DOUBLE

Utah Jazz second-round pick Joel Bolomboy scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 79-72 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Buddy Hield, the 6th overall pick, scored 21 for the Pelicans.

SIMMONS WATCH

Ben Simmons, the No. 1 selection, scored 18 points in the Philadelphia 76ers’ 83-70 loss to the Chicago Bulls. The 6-10 Simmons added three rebounds and two assists.

Chicago’s Denzel Valentine, the 14th overall pick, scored 13.
