Refreshed from a long layoff, Racal demolished Topstar ZC Mindanao anew with a 59-point mauling, 124-65, Tuesday in the 2016 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Jonathan Grey paced the Tile Masters in the easy win with 19 points, four assists, and two rebounds to help Racal improve to a 6-2 record, still trailing league leaders Phoenix and Cafe France.

Robby Celiz and Raphael Banal both registered 17 markers apiece with all 14 Tile Master players contributing in the rout.

“I just told the players that we can’t relax with a team like Mindanao. Medyo maganda na ang nilalaro nila the past few games. We were just able to get a good lead early and we never gave it up,” said coach Caloy
Garcia.

Racal looked like it didn’t miss a beat, starting out hot and establishing a dominant 17-point lead after
the first quarter, 31-14, and never looking back.

The Tile Masters replicated their 102-83 rout of the Aguilas in their first meeting last June 14.

Racal also took advantage of Topstar missing the services of leaders JR Cawaling and Robin Rono, who were both on sick bay, as the Mindanaoans remained at the cellar with a 0-7 slate.

Gino Jumao-as led the Aguilas with 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
