Spikers’ Turf: IEM forges decider for 3rd place
Greg Dolor pushed Instituto Estetico Manila past Sta. Elena Construction in five sets, 22-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 15-13, to force a decider in their battle for third place in the Spikers’ Turf Season 2 Open Conference Wednesday at Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
The hard-hitting Dolor attested to his MVP award with 22 points to power the Phoenix Volley Masters, who overcame a 2-1 set deficit.
Dolor not only flashed his offensive firepower, he also showcased his defensive prowess with six blocks.
Rudy Gatdula and Jeffrey Jimenez added 15 points each while Karl Ian dela Calzada and Erickson Ramos chipped in 14 and 11 points, respectively for IEM.
Joven Camaganakan and Arjay Onia combined for 42 points in a losing effort for the Wrecking Balls.
