Ginebra may have escaped with a victory, but it came with a price.

Reinforcement Paul Harris suffered a hyperextended right thumb open fracture which could rule him out of the 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup.

The returning import writhed in pain after a block attempt on Dominique Sutton and left the game with 1:03
left in the third quarter to go back to the dugout.

Ginebra team doctor Enrique Pagulayan tended to Harris and after observing the injury and said the import “might be out for the season.”

Harris will be taken to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City for further evaluation.

Ginebra held off GlobalPort, 93-81 to score its first win of the season-ending tournament.
