Globalport on Wednesday fielded a depleted team without key guy Terrence Romeoe in the loss against Mahindra, the Batang Pier’s second in as many games.
Stanley Pringle, who was left to carry the cudgels for Batang Pier, said they sorely missed the services of Romeo and others who are sidelined to start the PBA Governors’ Cup.
Romeo was just one of the five players who did not suit put, joining Joseph Yeo, Jay Washington, Rico Maeirhofer and Papot Paredes.
“We definitely miss Terrence tonight,” said Pringle after their loss to the Enforcers, 108-98, at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“We missed him and JWash, and unfortunately he’s injured and Terrence is sick.”
Washington suffered a knee-to-knee collision with a teammate in practice while Romeo is sidelined with stomach flu.
Yeo is also injured as he’s suffering from a bum ankle.
Pringle added the team committed “too many turnovers” as they dropped to 0-2.
Gobalport committed 19 turnovers allowing Mahindra to convert 18 points off its miscues.
