“Now I have to be prepared for my bashers.”
That’s what Ces Molina, the soft-spoken yet power-packed open spiker from Petron, said after she got the sixth golden ticket to the FIVB (international volleyball federation) Women’s Club World Championship.
She joined the elite roster of Philippine Superliga superstars including teammate Jen Reyes was earlier picked for the WCWC team along with RC Cola-Army’s Jovelyn Gonzaga and Rachel Anne Daquis, Foton’s Jaja Santiago and F2 Logistics’ Kim Fajardo.
The 21-year-old Molina, who was born in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, but was raised in Cabanatuan, said she was surprised that she was chose from among the three Tri-Activ Spikers who tried out for the squad.
“I was expecting Aiza (Maizo-Pontillas),” said Molina. “It was a big, big surprise for me.”
Molina said her power, defensive skills and motivation will be her contribution to the team that will also be bolstered with seven foreign players in the Oct. 18-23 at Mall of Asia Arena.
