Tiongson drops 32 as Blustar beats Topstar ZC anew

Blustar Detergent repeated over Topstar ZC Mindanao, 98-93, in the 2016 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Tuesday night at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Juami Tiongson fired at will to come away with a game-high 32 points on 8-of-22 shots for the Dragons, who defeated the Aguilas, 89-75, in their previous meeting last June 23 in Bacoor, Cavite.

Tian Yuan Kuek posted a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds for Blustar, which attempted 18 more free throws than Mindanao and went 38-of-50.

“I’m happy with this win and I’m proud of my players,” said Blustar head coach Chang Huat Goh. “We proved that our first win was not a fluke.”

Jul-ashri Ignacio paced the Aguilas, who dropped to 0-10, with 22 points and seven rebounds.
