THE NATIONAL Youth Arnis Festival for boys and girls 10 to 19 years old gets going on May 14 and 15 at the SM Megamall activity center.
Sparring contests and “anyo” (forms) competition will spice up the tournament that also features solo baston (single sick) and doble baston (two-stick) competitions.
The event has received a big boost with the entry of major supporter Enersel Forte, a leading supplements brand for children.
Enersel also supported world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao during his fight with Antonio Margarito last year and the Lanao del Norte International Motocross Championship last December.
“Sports like arnis, and motocross races are a testament to Sel-J Sports’ and Sel-J Pharma’s thrust to promote wellness and fitness,” says Sel-J Sports president Jay Lacnit, an avid motocross rider.
