PBA D-League: Martinez drops 58 points as AMA routs Topstar
Already eliminated from the Final Four race, AMA Online Education vented its frustrations on Topstar ZC Mindanao, 125-76, Tuesday in the 2016 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
James Martinez carried the Titans with 58 points in the win, erasing Mac Belo’s 41-point record in the 2016 Aspirants’ Cup against Caida for most points in PBA D-League history.

The former UE playmaker got hot in the middle quarters, firing 13 points in the second and third frames to help the AMA pull away before exploding for 31 in the payoff period.
Martinez shot 10-of-25 from three on top of his four boards and two steals.

Jay-R Taganas also added 13 markers, seven assists, and hauled in 27 rebounds in the victory, while John Montemayor got a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards.
The win secured the Titans of a fifth-place finish in this conference at 4-6, with two games still remaining in their schedule.
Gino Jumao-as captained Topstar ZC Mindanao (0-11) with 19 points, while JR Cawaling had 16 in the loss.
