Maverick Ahanmisi streaked to the Obstacle Challenge title in the PBA All-Star Manila Friday at Araneta Coliseum.
Rain or Shine’s spitfire rookie guard finished with a time of 32.95 seconds in the final round besting five other players in the final round.
“It feels great man, it’s a blessing to win the Obstacle Challenge and just be part of the All-Star Weekend in my first year,” said Ahanmisi.
Carlo Lastimosa was the second-fastest in the final round posting a time of 34.11 seconds, beating out Paolo Taha and Mark Cruz who posted times of 46.11 and 36.96 seconds respectively.
Mark Barroca, who was the 2014 champion, posted a time of 45.23 seconds while Ginebra rookie Scottie Thompson had the slowest time in the title round with 49.38 seconds.
Defending champion Jeric Fortuna of Globalport bowed to Lastimosa in the preliminaries.
