Emilio Aguinaldo College have always been regarded as the whipping boys of the NCAA, looking more like cadets than Generals.

Never have the Generals gotten a Final Four spot in the NCAA, but Hamadou Laminou believes they can crack the upper echelon of the league.

“We believe we can make it for EAC, we can bring EAC up unlike before,” said Laminou Thursday at San Juan Arena.

EAC blasted College of St. Benilde, 76-56, ending the first round at 3-6, an improvement from its 2-16 record in Season 91.

“We now have a new coach, and we trust in our coach, and we trust each other.”

Ariel Sison, the former coach of the Brigadiers, took over the Generals at the start of Season 92 replacing Andy De Guzman.

Laminou said the team has been working better than before under their newfound chemistry.

“We’re just working everyday, we’re working very harder than last season,” said Laminou who played in the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League.
