Fellow athletes support Team PH bid

GLOBAL sportswear giant Nike yesterday unveiled its Nike Unlimited campaign in Manila that was highlighted by the opening of the Unlimited Stadium at the heart of Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.

Nike Philippines athletes led by volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez, football player Misagh Bahadoran, collegiate basketball standout Jeron Teng and PBA players Mo Tautuua, Chris Ellis and Jared Dillinger were among those who modelled the new Nike product line at Whitespace Manila.

The line was created for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Nike transformed the space along 32nd street in BGC into a 200-meter running track lined with LED screens and shaped like the sole of the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit Low.

“The Unlimited Stadium is designed to encourage people to push beyond their limits,” said Nike Southeast Asia director for marketing, Bulbul Khera. “In the next 17 days when the world watches the best athletes on the planet defy expectations, Nike enables Filipinos with the opportunity to do the same through the Unlimited Stadium.”

Khera said “runners are invited in a race against digital avatars of themselves that grow in size based on the speed and distance they run, motivating runners to push and do more than they thought possible.”

“Runners will be rewarded as they complete each challenge with an epic experience,” said Khera.
