Manny Pacquiao may be of the most recognized Filipino athlete of all time, but that didn’t stop him from relishing the moments with his old idol.
Pacquiao had the chance to go toe-to-toe with PBA Great Johnny Abarrientos on Friday.
During the Blitz Game between Pacquiao’s Stalwarts and Abarrientos, the two smallest players on the court went at it.
“Maganda kasi napapanood ko lang siya dati, ngayon nakalaro ko na,” said Pacquiao after the showcase at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Pacquiao played 20 minutes while Abarrientos was on the floor for 15, and the eight-division world champion shadowed the Flying A for all the time he was on the floor.
Pacman also scored more with nine points against Abarrientos’ three.
He, however, shot a poor 4-of-19 from the floor and 1-of-5 from deep.
