After All-Star Game, Yap heads to tend to pregnant girlfriend

James Yap did not deny that his mind was somewhere else during the All-Star Game Sunday night.
While making his 13th All-Star appearance, Yap said he was thinking about his pregnant girlfriend Michela Cazzola, who is due to give birth any time soon, the whole time.
Article continues after this advertisement“Chineck ko naman talaga kung kailan lalabas yung baby. Sabi ko sa kanya, i-update ako lagi. Anytime naman, pwede ako umalis,” Yap said after the South squad fell short.
“Yung cellphone ko, nasa ballboy namin so every time na nasa labas ako ng court at di ako naglalaro, chine-check ko lagi. Sinabihan ko naman sila na pag malapit na o medyo malapit na manganak, itawag sa akin agad.”
Yap still managed to have a good time and finished with 13 points in 20 minutes.
Article continues after this advertisement“Iniisip ko naman para sa fans ang All-Star. Gusto lang naman natin is mapasaya natin sila. Sinabi ko naman na bibigyan namin sila ng magandang laro so okay naman at natupad naman yun,” he said.
With the annual spectacle now out of his schedule, Yap can now focus on tending to his pregnant girlfriend.
“Baka tomorrow pa naman yung due, pero didiretso na rin ako sa hospital,” he said.
