WHEN it rains it pours.

That rings true for Philippine sport’s newest darling as newly minted Olympic silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz stands to receive a brand new house and lot on top of her P5 million incentive from the government.

Philippine Sports Commission chair Butch Ramirez Monday said the pledge by realtor and developer Deca Homes was for all Filipino medalists in the ongoing Rio Games.

“It’s a fulfillment of her dreams because I heard she wanted to build her home with the money she will receive,” said Ramirez of the Zamboanga weightlifting star./rga
