Hidilyn Diaz flies home from Rio, scheduled to meet Duterte

Philippine sport’s brand new darling Hidilyn Diaz is set to arrive Thursday afternoon in Manila and will hop immediately to Davao City to meet no less than President Duterte.

The Rio Olympic silver medalist in weightlifting is expected to plane in 4:30 p.m., according to the Philippine Sports Commission which is arranging her welcome program.

From Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Diaz will proceed to Davao City at 7:40 p.m. to meet the Chief Executive.
