Far Eastern University has enjoyed the leadership of its two stalwarts Remy Palma and Bernadeth Pons but with the seniors set to leave Morayta in just a year’s time, Shaq Delos Santos needs to find a new leader.
And he found her in Toni Rose Basas.
Basas heeded the call of her mentor as she finished with 19 points in their win against San Beda, leading FEU to a 2-0 record and a spot in the next round in the Shakey’s V-League Collegiate Conference.
In her mind, however, Basas is still trying to cope with her newfound responsibility.
Basas said she’s been receiving tips on how to become a better leader from Pons and Palma.
