Cherry Rondina has established herself as an energetic derby stuck in a 5-foot-5 body in both club and scholastic competition.

Whether she’s donning the black-and-gold of University of Santo Tomas or the blue-and-white of Foton, Rondina is the personification of excitement but all that can sometimes lead her to committing mistakes.

Rondina finished with 15 points in the Tornadoes’ win against F2 Logistics, which extended the finals series of the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference to a third game but she was almost pedestrian in the final two sets.

And in the moments she gets sidetracked she looks to her “ate” in setter Rhe Dimaculangan.

“Sobrang importante po kasi alam niya galawan ko, lagi po kasi kami magkasama and alam niya ang emosyon ko,” said Rondina Saturday at San Juan Arena.

Both Rondina and Dimaculangan are Thomasians with the latter playing for the Golden Tigresses several years earlier than the former.

“Si Ate Rhea lagi kong nasasabihan ng problema ko so kilala talaga niya ako,” said Rondina.
