An Australian badminton player indulged in a fast-food feast after his dismal loss at the Rio Olympics.

Sawan Serasinghe devoured a jumbo meal at McDonald’s, which consisted of six burgers, six packs of large fries, 40 chicken nuggets and six brownies.

“Can’t wait to go back home to start training and keep on improving! Just want to say thanks again to everyone back home for the ongoing support. Definitely motivated me to fight hard in court every day,” he wrote in his Instagram post.

“Now it’s time to eat some junk food after months of eating clean,” he added.

Athletes competing in the Olympics are entitled to free and unlimited orders from McDonald’s located at the Olympic Village.

Serasinghe, 22, and his teammate Matthew Chau, 21, lost 14-21 and 19-21 to China Taipei stars Chia Hsin and Sheng Mu Lee in the recent men’s doubles, News.co.au reported.

The Australian player is the not the first to gobble large amounts of calorie-high fast food. According to Daily Mail, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, a three-time gold medalist, admitted to chewing up 1,000 McNuggets during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
