Villanueva hopes 1 week rest heals tweaked ankle
NLEX guard Jonas Villanueva hopes a week of rest will be enough time to keep him from sitting out the Road Warriors’ next game against Meralco on Aug. 24.
Villanueva had to be taken out after turning his left ankle with two minutes left in the Road Warriors’ 82-81 win over the Mahindra Enforcer Wednesday night.

“Ewan ko kung kaya one week. Tignan ko. Next game naman namin is Wednesday.”
Villanueva had nine points and three assists in 33 minutes of action before the injury. He also hit a big 3-pointer as part of NLEX’s 11-2 run to end the game.
