Dawn Macandili may not be the tallest player on the floor for F2 Logistics—in fact, she’s the smallest—but come winning time the petite libero shone the brightest.

As the Cargo Movers came away with the All-Filipino crown after a 18-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-19 game 3 win over Foton, Macandili also waltzed away with the All-Filipino Conference MVP.

Macandili is the first libero to win the award and she offered the shiny plaque to all other liberos.

“Blessing ito sa mga libero lalo na sa aking hindi blessed ng height,” said Macandili. “Pero in-embrace ko to [height] kasi ito binigay ni God.”

Macandili was the architect in the Cargo Movers’ defense that put up 29 excellent sets.

“Nagulat ako kasi di nga naman usually nagiging MVP ang mga libero,” said Macandili who also took home the Best Libero award.

F2 Logistics was well-represented in the individual awards with Ara Galang, Aby Maraño and Kim Fajardo taking the 1st Best Outside Spiker, 1st Best Middle Blocker, and 1st Best Setter plums, respectively.

Joveyln Gonzaga of RC Cola Philippine Army was the Best Opposite Spiker.
