Rising Stars: Racket and pen for Angelyn

Pen and racket.

Study hard, play later for Angelyn.

What started out as just a hobby, turned out to be one of the many things Angelyn Mananghaya from Bay, Laguna excels in.

Angelyn, 17, is a full time student at University of the Philippines-Los Banos taking up BS Statistics, but is also a competitive badminton player at the side.

Studies and sports has never been a conflict because Angelyn knows how to manage her time—study hard first, give it all out in the badminton court later.

With badminton as her family’s favorite past time since she was 11, Angelyn has gone on to bag several titles ncluding championships in a doubles division in a district meet in Laguna and in 2010 Palarong UPLB, an inter-university sports event.
