MAX BOND’S veteran trio got to work early as the Sumos downed Junior Powerade, 76-64, yesterday and grabbed a share of the lead in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Marikina Sport Center.
Reil Cervantes, Rudy Lingganay and Junjun Cabatu conspired in a second-half tear to tow the Sumos to their third straight triumph after an opening-day loss.
Earlier, RnW Pacific Pipes routed early favorite Pharex, 75-59, to snap a four-game losing spell.
Cervantes drilled a game-high 17 points to power Max Bond on top of Group B with Cebuana Lhu-illier and Cobra at 3-1.
