An exuberant moment for this American minor league baseball player suddenly became a rotten break.
Brandon Thomas, a player of the Frontier League Gateway Grizzlies, fired out a grand slam during a game at Sauget, Illinois, United States, on Sunday.
Sadly, Thomas’ momentous grand slam might cost him a monstrous amount of car repair.

Can't make this up. @brandonthomas6 hit a grand slam tonight that smashed a windshield. That's his own truck. pic.twitter.com/B1ZqFUyfSe

The baseball soared over the fence and into an open parking lot, shattering the front windshield of his 2008 Toyota Tundra, according to local news site Fox2Now.
“I didn’t really realize it at the time, “Thomas told the news site. “But the chances of something like this happening in that situation it can’t be too high.”
Despite “grand slamming” his own car, Thomas tweeted that his hard work had paid off because they defeated the Joliet Slammers, 17-6.
