Tolomia named PBA D-League Foundation Cup MVP
BINAN – Mike Tolomia was unanimously named as the Most Valuable Player for the 2016 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa and tournament director Eric Castro honored the 23-year-old playmaker before Game 2 of the Finals between Phoenix and Tanduay on Tuesday at Alonte Sports Arena here.
Article continues after this advertisementTolomia was instrumental in leading the Accelerators back to the championship series after averaging 19.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists for the conference.
The 6-foot-1 guard joined Mac Belo as the MVP awardees for Phoenix, after the latter was cited back in the 2016 Aspirants’ Cup.
Tolomia got the nod after garnering votes from the media, the television coveror, and the Commissioner’s office.
