DESPITE sweeping the elimination round, Far Eastern University knows it still needs to raise its game to stay unbeaten in the quarterfinal round of the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Collegiate Conference tonight.
“Our service remains inconsistent,” FEU coach Shaq delos Santos said of his Lady Tamaraws, who topped the eliminations at 4-0 to remain the only unbeaten squad.
But after getting a scare in their last outing, the Lady Tamaraws aim to work harder against a National University side going for back-to-back wins. Game time is 6 p.m. at Philsports Arena.
University of Santo Tomas, which lost to NU in the quarterfinal opener, also tries to rebound versus San Sebastian at 4 p.m.
“We have a lot of things to improve on,” said NU deputy Edjet Mabbayad after the Lady Bulldogs downed the Tigresses, 25-21, 29-27, 25-13, behind Jaja Santiago, Jorelle Singh and Aiko Urdas last Monday.
While the Lady Bulldogs try to sustain their momentum, the Lady Tamaraws hope to do better than their shaky 27-25, 25-22, 18-25, 23-25, 15-8 win over University of the Philippines on the last day of eliminations.
